Apple has introduced MacBook and Mini with new updates and changes. Apple has launched its MacBook Pro and Mini with new M2 Pro and M2 Max silicon. The company says that the new MacBook Pro is up to six times faster than the old one.
Apple has launched new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 PRO and M2 Max silicon processors. Along with the new MacBook, the Mac mini with the second generation of Apple silicon has also been introduced. Apple says the new MacBook Pro with the M2 processor is up to six times faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro. At the same time, no significant change has been made in the design of the Mini.
The MacBook Pro with the M2 Pro is expected to feature a 10-core or 12-core CPU, with eight high-performance and four high-efficiency cores to deliver up to 20 percent better performance than the M1 Pro. There are three Thunderbolt 4 ports for connectivity ports on the MacBook Pro, including an SDXC card slot and a MagSafe 3 charging port.
There is also a next-generation GPU with 19 cores, which delivers up to 30 percent better graphics. The new MacBook Pro supports Wi-Fi 6E, which supports 8K displays. MacBook Pro models also feature a Liquid Retina XDR display along with a 1080p FaceTime HD camera. Apple claims that the new MacBook Pro has 22 hours of battery life.
The new MacBook Pro models, along with the M2 PRO and M2 Max, are available to order from January 17 on Apple’s online store in 27 countries, including India.
The price of Pro-powered Mac Mini starts at Rs 1,29,900. The 14-inch MacBook Pro starts at Rs 1,99,900 for the 10-core CPU version with M2 processor and Rs 2,49,900 for the 12-core CPU version with M2 processor. 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Max processor starts at Rs 3,09,900. The 16-inch version with the M2 Pro processor starts at Rs 2,49,900, while the device with the M2 Max processor starts at Rs 3,49,900.
