What is Masked Aadhaar Card?
According to UIDAI “The Mask Aadhaar option allows you to mask your Aadhaar number in your downloaded e-Aadhaar. Veiled Aadhaar number implies replacing of first 8 digits of Aadhaar number with some characters like “xxxx-xxxx” while only last 4 digits of the Aadhaar Number are visible.”

How to download a Masked Aadhaar Card?
Aadhaar card holders can download Concealed Aadhaar online by visiting the official website of UIDAI. Individuals can use their Aadhaar number, Enrollment ID (EID) and Virtual ID (VID) to download the Aadhar card.
The most efficient way to download Masked aadhar is by using aadhaar number and its download process is given below.
- Visit uidai’s official site uidai.gov.in
- Click on ‘My Aadhaar’ option
- Select ‘Download Aadhaar’ option
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number
- Choose the option ‘I need a concealed Aadhaar’
- Enter Captcha
- Click on ‘Send OTP’ button
- Enter the OTP and download your Masked Aadhaar.
Veiled Aadhar card download using EID and VID
The process to download mask Aadhaar using Enrollment ID (EID) and Virtual ID (VID) is the same as explained above for Aadhaar number. You have to choose only EID or VID option instead of number. So check the above procedure again.
